Penn Global Convening Grants
Penn Global is delighted to offer our Rolling Call for Convening Proposals across all four of our Penn Global Funds, including the new Holman Africa Research and Engagement Fund, China Research and Engagement Fund, India Research and Engagement Fund, and Global Engagement Fund.
We welcome convening proposals on a rolling basis for projects across any and all disciplines, fields of study, and countries/regions.
In your application, you may optionally indicate under which of our four Research and Engagement Funds you'd like to be considered for funding, but it is not required to apply: if awarded, our Research and Engagement Funds management team will allocate approved funds for your project based on your country/countries or region(s) of focus.
In addition to Penn community members with long-standing affiliation with the University: Penn graduate students, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers are welcome to apply. These applicants are required to supply a Letter of Support from a sponsoring full-time Penn faculty member as well as a Business Administrator affiliated with their School or Center, and if awarded, their projects must conclude at least 6 months prior to their anticipated departure from Penn.
Please note that all Convening Funds Awardees are required to submit Semi-Annual Reports on January 31 and July 31 each year for the duration of their project. In addition, they are required to submit a Final Report within 30 days of the Project End Date. Details regarding the reporting requirements associated with awards are outlined in the Terms and Conditions Agreement which will be made available to all Awardees.
